Comprehensive support for the commercialization of products from process development and trial to mass production, mostly in association with brazing processes

  The Joining Technical Center (JTC) assists customers in the automobile, electrical and other industries at all stages throughout the product life cycle from design, technical development, trial production, identifying business feasibility and starting up mass production. JTC does this by developing the necessary metal-joining methods, crafting sample products, enabling initial small-lot production and assisting in the construction of mass production lines.

The Center also engages in the manufacture and sale of various brazing consumables and subsidiary materials, such as rings and fluxes. Moreover, it offers brazing equipment for use in mass production lines. Customers can rely on the Center for comprehensive support in the matter surrounding metal joining.

Extensive line of facilities for expanding to various fields

 
Vacuum furnace for heat treating
  The JTC possesses an extensive range of facilities for brazing and welding processes, including nine continuous vacuum furnaces available for mass production, atmospheric continuous furnaces, electron beam welding equipment and various inspection facilities.

The brazing technology is helpful for enabling downsizing, weight reduction and greater precision of functional components. Therefore, the technology is used for current collector plates-a key component of nickel-metal hydrate batteries for hybrid vehicles. In addition to such environment-conscious businesses, the Center will continue to expand its arena of businesses using an extensive range of facilities for comprehensive support.





Maintain strictest Confidentiality Quality and Environmental ISO certified

  Because the Joining Technical Center develops joining techniques available for customers' manufacturing processes, it is often exposed to some of their latest, and therefore confidential, products, components and technologies related to such processes. As the top priority, the Center provides stringent measures to maintain the confidentiality of the information that it obtains in the process of offering services.

Shinwa acquired the ISO 9001 certification in 2002 for its quality management systems at the Joining Technical Center plants and other departments as well as the ISO 14001 certification in 2007 for its environmental management systems. The ISO-certified quality and environmental management systems are effectively in operation at the Joining Technical Center.

  Based on its accumulated expertise in brazing, the Joining Technical Center develops and produces various kinds of brazing materials. In addition, the Center offers comprehensive support in association with brazing and other metal-joining methods to assist customers at all stages throughout the life cycle of a product from design, technical development, trial and production, to identifying business feasibility and starting up mass production, by developing the necessary metal-joining methods and materials, making sample products, enabling initial small-lot production and assisting in the construction of mass production lines. The supply of these unique and far-ranging services is enabled by the Center's long accumulated expertise and a wide array of in-house facilities, including vacuum brazing furnaces-an environment that enables us to examine various joining methods and propose optimal ones for customers.

The Joining Technical Center will continue to lead the advancement of metal-joining technologies by developing new nickel-brazing materials.
