The Earth is irreplaceable all human beings, future generations, and all forms of life. However, the Earth is now in serious danger. The impact of our lifestyle and industrial society is often the cause of various problems that threaten the global environment; for example, global warming, desertification, acid rain, destruction of the ozone layer, and depletion of tropical forests. There is an urgent need for global measures.
As a company that supports the growth of a wide range of industries, we recognize that fulfilling our social responsibilities as a corporate citizen is an important management theme. Environmental efforts are the central theme of this responsibility. By establishing our Environmental Policy, Shinwa considers and takes united actions as a company in order to help the global environment through our business activities.
In 2007, all of our offices and two of our domestic subsidiaries acquired ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental protection. We operate a rigorously constructed environmental management system and focus on individual activities such as promoting energy and resource conservation, reducing environmentally hazardous substances, reducing waste, and promoting reuse and recycling, as well as making sure that all employees take action to preserve the environment.
Contribution to environmental conservation is also an important theme in Shinwa’s manufacturing activities. We will continue to fully utilize our technical capabilities as a manufacturer and promote initiatives to protect the global environment.
Based on our management with a focus on environmental consciousness, we promote the following activities by accurately understanding environmental impacts of our business related to goods and services and the other internal operations in offices, manufacturing facilities, procurement and logistics.
