Realization of a prosperous society / Social contribution activities

In addition to contributing to society through our business activities, Shinwa hold social contribution activities for solving issues and needs in local communities, thereby creating a sustainable society as a corporate citizen. Through these activities, we promote initiatives aimed invigorating local society, improving the living environment, and promoting culture and sports rooted in local communities.

  • Traffic Safety through Street Monitoring

    Since 1991, SHINWA has participated in traffic monitoring for a local school and collaborated with the local traffic association and police.

  • Disaster Prevention

    We support Nagoya City's proposal for safe, disaster-preventing city planning, and, should a major disaster occur, will offer our aid to support victims.Since 1991, SHINWA has participated in traffic monitoring for a local school and collaborated with the local traffic association and police.

  • Overseas initiatives

    At Shinwa Intec (Thailand), we continue to actively engage in activities such as improving the school grounds of nearby elementary schools and providing relief supplies to victims of large-scale floods.

  • At Shinwa Engineering (Mexico), we cooperate with customers and employees seconded from suppliers to hold charity activities for donating clothes that are no longer needed to charity organizations.

  • Relief funds for disaster areas and donations to the Aichi Prefectural Rehabilitation Association

    Shinwa donates relief money to help people and regions affected by disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, Kumamoto Earthquake, and heavy rains in western Japan.
    We also participate in the Aichi Prefectural Rehabilitation Association, which was established with the aim of creating a bright society free of crime and delinquency in the local community. We provide cooperation and assistance to people active in the Association.

  • Reduction of food loss

    Shinwa donates disaster supplies that are nearing their expiration date and surplus rice from shareholder benefits to Second Harvest Nagoya, an organization which conducts food bank activities to deliver food to people in need and related organizations. We will continue to address hunger and poverty issues by reducing food loss.

  • Eco-Cap Movement

    Shinwa collects plastic bottle caps gathered at business sites and homes for the purpose of promoting recycling, reducing CO2 emissions, supporting medical care in developing countries, and promoting the employment of the elderly and people with disabilities.

  • Donation to Kodomo Shokudo

    We donate rice, retort curry, sweets, and other food products to programs run by Kodomo Shokudo (Children’s Cafeteria) in order to save children from isolation and poverty.
    In cooperation with local branches of Kodomo Shokudo, we will work toward a future where everyone can live with hope.

An official partner in supporting art by people with disabilities

In 2022, Shinwa became an official partner of Paralym Art, a program which is operated by the Shougaisha Jiritsu Suishin Kikou Association (Association for Independence of People with Disabilities) as a support activity that contributes to the independence of people with disabilities. Artworks created by artists with disabilities are used in PR materials such as clear file folders.
